Unfortunately, there are always those who do not pass the exam. On our website are literally hundreds of testimonials from students who used our materials successfully. We thought, however, that you might also find these comments from students who took our course and failed their exams to be of interest. (We doubt that any of our competitors will put this kind of information on their sites.)
For obvious reasons of privacy, we've omitted the writers' names and identifying details, but left the messages otherwise intact.
Then, we have some constructive suggestions for those who failed their exams...
"Although I did not pass the CA bar, I think it's
partly because I should have taken the multi state portion to enhance my
essay performance. I think your technique helped me a lot during the test,
but I did not know the CA portion and that truly hurt me. I believe when I
lost my job and you and I had phone conversations, you really helped me more
in how to handle life itself. I believe that if I was taking any other
course, I would probably be really stressed out (more so than I was when I
was taking your course) I believed in myself when I took the exam and I
thought that was a huge deal. It would have been great to pass, but either
way, I am thankful that I took your class because you were tough with me,
even though you knew I was really crashed with the lay off, which turned out
to be a great thing for our family. My husband is doing much better with his
new job after the move, and we bought the nicest house we've ever owned. So
there is a lot to be thankful for. Like you said, passing CA bar is not a
life and death situation!
So thanks for working with me along the way through my difficult path of
life. Thanks for your confidence in me that I would pass. Thanks for
critiquing my essays that were pretty horrible in the beginning. I truly
believed I write better because of your class."
"I'm sorry to report that I failed the
Florida bar again. This time I failed by ONE point (as opposed to 2 1/2 and
2 points the two previous times I took it). Maddening to say the least!
I am not taking the exam again, though, because I feel there is something
else, something bigger than me, that's going on. You were a terrific mentor
